The Silence Backstage

Behind every great character, there is someone’s late night. Someone stayed up, searching for the words a personality grows from. They imagined how it jokes, what it stays silent about, what it fears. Then they released it into the world and waited.

People came. They talked to the character, came back to it, grew attached. And the author stayed backstage. All they got was a counter of interactions and a few likes. Everything else was taken by the platform: the attention, the traffic, the money. This system has long been considered normal, and that is exactly what made us angry.

And many walk away. Not because they forgot how to create, but because they burned out. Year after year, doing work no one sees, and getting back neither attention nor income: that takes more strength and faith than anyone has. We watched talented authors quietly stop making bots.

Those Who Were Forgotten

Today, platforms are built around a catalog of bots and subscription revenue. In that setup, the author is barely visible. Nobody tells their story, nobody searches for them, and their name is buried so deep it feels as if no one made the bots at all, as if they simply appeared on their own.

On many platforms, an author can’t even leave a link to their TikTok, Discord, Telegram or website in their profile. They created a character, brought people to it, and then aren’t allowed to invite those people onward, to the place where they live and create. That is not a small inconvenience. It is a right to your own audience, cut down.

But it should be the other way around. The author is the most important part of this world. They are the ones who create the work people come for and stay for.

Botreon is built differently. Every bot here clearly shows who made it. In their profile, authors can leave links to everything they call their own. There is a catalog of bots with deep search, and next to it a catalog of authors: organized by direction and fandom, with the same deep search, where you can sort and find authors in whatever way suits you. You can find not only a character but the person whose style speaks to you, and follow them further.

And built into the very architecture of the platform is a mechanism that promotes those who have only just started making bots. We don’t make newcomers wait their turn. From the very beginning, we decided they deserve help.

Where We Came From

We didn’t invent a market. We felt this unfairness ourselves, more than once. We saw an author pour their soul into a bot while the platform poured ads into it. We saw a conversation cut off at the most important moment because a limit ran out. We saw a character you’d grown close to forget your name the next day.

Botreon was born from a simple wish: for it to be different.

What We Believe

We believe a platform begins with the people who make its bots. An author brings people in and deserves a share of what they spend. And when someone chooses to support them directly, that money belongs entirely to the author. To us, it is not charity. It is a sign: your work was valued.

We believe a conversation should stay a conversation. No ads in the middle of a scene. No daily limits that cut a story short. With a memory we treat as a top priority and keep improving, so it carefully holds everything you’ve lived through with a character. With moderation that isn’t afraid of its own shadow.

We believe talent shouldn’t have to wait its turn. We are different: here, a new author doesn’t compete with someone who took the top spots years ago. Their bot gets seen, gets talked to, gets found.

We believe a good story has no borders. Bots on Botreon are available in many languages, and an author reaches an audience from different countries, not just one corner of the world.

We believe the voice of people is not noise but a compass. Every message that reaches us through the feedback form on the site is read, and we answer every one. More often than not, such a message becomes the platform’s next step.

Where This Leads

We are building a place where you can simply talk, without wondering whether you are being sold at that very moment. Where an author can be proud of their work, be rewarded for it, and be seen. And where no one has to guess whose interests the platform puts first.

Our goal is simple: for as many authors as possible to grow and stay in their creative work. So that they have a reason to come back to it: to be seen, and to get real returns for it.

What Botreon Already Has

For authors

• Move without losing anything. You can import your bots from Character.AI and CaiBotList instead of starting from scratch, and moving from Character.AI takes a single click.
• Freedom to shape your character. Deep character configuration: a description, a greeting, and the “heart of the bot”, a separate prompt for personality. No rigid templates.
• A co-pilot and analytics. An AI assistant works beside you while you create and refine your bot, and analytics show what is actually working.
• A bot that calls people back. If someone goes quiet, your bot can reach out on its own and bring them back into the conversation.
• Where your audience is. Your bot lives on the site and, if you wish, in Telegram or Discord too. On your own server, you can set up a bot gallery with auto-publishing: your community browses bots, reacts, and talks to them without ever leaving Discord.
• An audience from many countries. Bots are available in many languages, so your character finds listeners around the world.
• You decide who sees it. A bot can be public, private, or available only by link.
• What you earn, you can withdraw. Gems can be exchanged for real money.
• Bots don’t disappear. Right now, we don’t delete bots.

For everyone who talks

• A conversation at your pace. You can edit, regenerate and delete messages, and continue a conversation without waiting for the bot’s reply. To help you start, the bot suggests opening lines.
• Your own role in every chat. In Persona, you can create your own roles and step into the story as whoever you want to be.
• Three kinds of bots. Character, Companion and Assistant: for stories, for company, and for getting things done.
• Conversation without a wall. When fast replies run out, the bot simply starts answering a little slower, but the conversation never breaks off.
• In your language. Bots are available in many languages.
• Equally comfortable everywhere. The experience is the same on any device, and you can add the web version to your home screen.
• You shape the platform. Every user can become part of the community and influence what Botreon becomes.
