AI-designed drug appears to turn back the body's biological clock in early trial

A Nature Biotechnology study reports that rentosertib, a drug designed with AI by Insilico Medicine, may reverse some markers linked to biological aging. In a trial of 42 patients, six aging measures estimated that treated participants were biologically up to six years younger than those given a placebo, but the drug has not been tested in healthy people.

The findings are early research, not an available anti-aging treatment. The small trial means people should not assume the drug can extend healthy lifespan or is ready for general use.
