Job Description

We recently established the Finance Velocity Office, designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This newly created function will shape our transformation strategy, improve our business operations and enhance the impact we make as a function. Why velocity? Build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams.Modernize our processes to enable better, faster decision making and drive more timely insights for our clients and business partners.Implement technology to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda.Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.

The Senior Director Business Intelligence and Analytics will join the Finance Velocity office to design, build and advance the critical tools, systems, capabilities and innovation of Business Intelligence.  The BI lead will run a team of Data Scientists and/or professionals to develop and run a set of core data capabilities as a Center of Excellence including modernization of tools e.g. AI while leading an initiative to shape and refine our end-to-end approach to Data access and availability, reporting automation and standardization and systems user needs and requirements. They will evaluate and influence visualization tools e.g. Tableau and/or Power BI.

Essential Functions:

Enable Data Driven Decision Making:

    Evaluate and design strategy and end state vision for integrated, modernized and scalable systemsElevate and Enable insight-based, forward looking decision makingDedicated teams to develop new ‘digital’ offerings for business decision supportIdentify advanced analytics/ AI tooling and use caseEmpower leadership with self-service BI to track key KPIs and steer business accordinglyClear standards govern ERP/BI and analytic tool landscapeCritical data is harmonized & data governance enforces complianceBusiness partners identify true value drivers via advanced analytics and AI/ML toolsManage and develop a team of SMEs, Data Scientists, Power Users across FinanceInfluence without accountability for training on tools and processes

“A” Accountability over select Key Initiatives:

    Drive and deliver business intelligence workstream as Initiative owners as part of Transformation, define end-state COE systems, processes and tools for ongoing Data and AnalyticsAI champion across Transformation as COE on tools and capabilities, institute and scale training, best practice sharing and SME center of excellenceProvide KPI reporting on status of key initiatives and deliverablesEnable broader KPI reporting against key metrics leveraging data scientists teamDevelop and manage internal processes and best practices around data, reporting and analyticsInfluence and provide thought leadership of shared reporting HUB and capabilities

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 12 years of professional experience with 5-7 years of relevant experience in a Finance, information technology, data visualization or related role of delivering data and insights to executive stakeholders
• MBA strongly preferred
• Investment banking and management consulting strongly preferred
• Innovative and curious with expert level ability to learn new technologies and current in the understanding and application of modern technology including AI
• Ability to manage, develop, and mentor an impactful team
• Proactive, strategic problem solver
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Outstanding problem solving skills with the highly developed ability to present information effectively to executive management
• Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
• Excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills

Broad Qualifications:
• Business acumen: Understanding of company and Finance strategy, how transformation ambitions link to the specific initiatives.
Strong voice for issue resolution: Active role in driving cross-initiative and cross-functional intervention for resolution of challenges
• Experience in Data, Visualization and Analytics: expert level experience with data visualization tools, reporting center of excellence and analytics to shape, strategy and design of end state vision
Strong communication: Proven strong communication with senior leadership to provide transparency and drive clear accountability for ownership of activities and milestones.
Change championing: Engage and activate leaders and stakeholders towards change, driving positive sentiment and willingness towards transformation.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176,900.00 to 230,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
