What the job involves
We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineering Lead to develop and deploy machine learning models that combine computer vision, sensors, and edge processing for real-world applications. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of modern AI systems and experience leading a team of engineers who share our passion. This role will be reporting to our Chief Product and Technology Officer.
Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in developing modern artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
Develop and implement AI algorithms and machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
Design, develop, and maintain software infrastructure for AI model training, deployment, and monitoring.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure solutions meet technical and customer requirements.
Conduct research and development activities to explore cutting-edge technologies and identify opportunities for product innovation and to push the boundaries of geospatial AI.
Manage the AI engineering lifecycle, including data collection, model development, deployment, and maintenance.
Contribute to the development and documentation of technical standards and best practices.
Stay abreast of the latest AI technologies and trends.
Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in applied AI and machine learning, with a proven track record of building and deploying intelligent systems.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
Strong expertise in computer vision and deep learning techniques (e.g., SLAM, TSDF, RANSAC).
Experience with geospatial data (e.g., imagery, LiDAR) and familiarity with geospatial concepts (e.g., coordinate systems, projections).
Experience with deep learning techniques for localization and mapping applications.
Research background in SLAM and/or publications in localization and mapping applications.
Target Salary Range
-
$180,000 – $210,000
